There are few wedding venues in New England that combine rustic elegance, natural beauty, and modern amenities quite like Cold Spring Farm in Alton Bay, New Hampshire. For Samantha and Eric, this venue was more than just a location in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, it was the backdrop for one of the most meaningful days of their lives. Samantha & Eric’s Love Story

Before their Cold Spring Farm wedding, Samantha and Eric’s love story began in 2019 when they met on a cruise. What started off as a chance meeting turned into a long distance relationship with Samantha living in Virginia and Eric living in Massachusetts. Ten months in, love and determination brought them together in New Hampshire, where they’ve built a life full of joy, adventure, and time spent with their beloved dog, Benson.

Eric’s proposal reflected the same thoughtfulness that would carry into their wedding day. On Samantha’s birthday, he orchestrated a surprise at The Barn at Merry Hill, lining the space with roses. What Samantha thought was a simple dinner outing turned into a moment she would never forget when Eric proposed to her and both families appeared to celebrate.

A Day of Traditions and Details

Samantha and Eric’s wedding beautifully combined tradition with personal touches. Their ceremony took place outdoors where guests gathered to watch the couple exchange personal vows. A meaningful highlight was the breaking of the glass, a Jewish tradition symbolizing the fragility of relationships and the need to nurture love with great care. It was a poignant reminder of the sacred bond they were beginning together.

After the ceremony, cocktail hour featured live music and the couple’s much anticipated first dance to “Life With You” by Kelsey Hart. Guests enjoyed the views, local flavors, and a relaxed atmosphere before being invited into the barn.

The barn reception showcased the venue’s rustic beauty with wildflower arrangements by Winni Woods Farm adding pops of natural color. DJ Nazzy kept the dance floor alive after a buffet style dinner and a private cake cutting moment for the couple. Special dances, including those with parents and even the groom’s grandmother, were heartfelt highlights that spoke to the closeness of family.
